Incoming webhook starter / Workspace Studio

Trigger Workspace Studio from an HTTPS POST.

Give your flow a unique webhook URL. Authorize once. Send an HTTPS POST. Run your automation.

Preparing for Google Workspace Marketplace. Not generally available yet.

Three-step setup

A narrow path from external event to flow run.

FlowIngress does not pretend every source has a native integration. If a system can send an HTTPS POST, it can use the generated route to start the configured Workspace Studio flow.

  1. 01
    Add + authorize

Add the FlowIngress starter to the Workspace Studio flow and complete authorization once.

  2. 02
    Copy the webhook URL

FlowIngress generates an opaque route. Keep the complete URL confidential.

  3. 03
    POST an event

Configure the external sender to use HTTPS POST and confirm the configured flow starts.

Concrete proof

Send an event. Work with it inside the flow.

Use the generated webhook route as the target. The example is intentionally generic—the sender can be any system capable of HTTPS POST.

HTTPS POSTEXAMPLE
curl -X POST "https://<your-flowingress-webhook>" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"event":"order.created","orderId":"A-1042"}'

Trust + data handling

The webhook URL is a credential.

Anyone who obtains a valid route may be able to send events to that route. Do not publish it, expose it in screenshots, or include it in support messages.

FlowIngress uses OAuth authorization to start the user's authorized Workspace Studio trigger. It processes OAuth authorization credentials, opaque webhook route identifiers, Workspace Studio trigger information, incoming webhook content, timestamps, event identifiers and error information needed to operate and troubleshoot the event path.

If you revoke the Google authorization, FlowIngress no longer has that authorization and setup may need to be completed again.
